Forrester mentioned Movate in its overview of 42 modern application development (MAD) providers in its landscape report, Q3, 2024.
As one of the companies researched for the report, Movate was listed among the “notable providers” with a geographic focus on NA, EMEA and bracketed in the “small provider” category having $10 million to less than $100 million in revenues. Movate’s industry focus listed in the report were retail, telecommunications, consumer product manufacturing under the partnership type as a “systems integrator.”
Improving CX—According to the Forrester report, the goal of MAD service providers is to improve client capabilities while delivering great experiences as the goal isn’t to insource 100% of all application development work but to improve internal capabilities and be efficient partners with MAD service providers.
The report categorizes the MAD services market and states key market dynamics in terms of the main trend, primary challenge and the top disruptor. Forrester identifies top business scenarios and extended business scenarios with their respective objectives and top differentiators.
Capabilities under both scenarios are primary, secondary, or have little to no impact depending on the business scenario. Clients need to select the business scenarios that are most relevant to their business requirements and then use the tables in the report as a guide to choose the capabilities that matter most for their technology evaluation and provider selection criteria.
Movate selected the top three extended scenarios (beyond the core ones) to show its focus areas for customers. These include backend integration and modernization, GenAI to increase employee productivity, and modern measurement & metrics. Note that the table (Figure 8 in the report) doesn’t represent available capabilities and may not represent the only business scenarios that providers serve.
According to the Forrester report, technology executives and application development leaders should use this report to understand the value they can expect from a MAD service provider, learn how providers differ, and investigate options based on size and market focus.
Clients can increase cocreation, improve customer experience, and focus on business outcomes, not just outputs with the help of MAD services. To realize these benefits, clients first have to select from a diverse set of providers that vary by size, type of offering, geography, and business scenario differentiation.
